rtv.os p� <br />COUNTY OF HAWAII STATE OF HAWAII <br />art Os.N',1 <br />RESOLUTION NO. 62 113 <br />A RESOLUTION TRANSFERRING/APPROPRIATING AN APPROPRIATION OUT <br />AND FROM THE DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT AND CREDITING SAME TO A <br />DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT TO CONTINUE THE BUS ROUTE THAT SERVICES <br />THE UNIVERSITY OF HAWAII AT HILO AND HAWAII COMMUNITY COLLEGE. <br />WHEREAS, the County of Hawaii Mass Transit Agency provides public transportation <br />services to residents and tourists island -wide; and <br />WHEREAS, the University of Hawaii at Hilo (UHH) and the Hawaii Community <br />College (HCC) are Hawaii County's two major institutions of higher learning and academic <br />excellence with approximately 3,697students enrolled at UHH and 2,820 students enrolled at <br />HCC for the Spring 2015 academic semester; and <br />WHEREAS, bus service between UHH, HCC, Downtown Hilo, and the Prince Kuhio <br />Plaza (PKP) during the academic year, excluding holidays, will promote students' health and <br />well-being and provide economic stimulus to local businesses in Downtown Hilo and PKP; and <br />WHEREAS, the Mass Transit Agency requests funds to cover the operating expenses to <br />continue the bus route servicing UHH and HCC students; and <br />WHEREAS, Contingency Relief funds from Council District 5 will be appropriated to <br />the Mass Transit Agency to continue the bus route between UHH, HCC, Downtown Hilo, and <br />the Prince Kuhio Plaza; now therefore, <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII that the <br />following amount is hereby transferred/appropriated as set forth below: <br />FUND: General <br />AMOUNT OF <br />APPROPRIATION: $2,000 <br />OUT AND FROM: <br />010.101.5101.91 Clerk -Council SVC — Contingency Relief $2,000 <br />CREDITED TO: <br />010.311.5311.02 Mass Transit Agency <br />Mass Transit OCE <br />115 Misc.
