SUBJECT: Aquarium Fish Discussion
I request 45 minutes to allow Dr. Teresa Telecky, Director of Wildlife for humane Society
International and Marine Biologist Dr. Katherine Muzik, Director of Kulu Wai, a Kauai based
Environmental Education and Research Foundation, to head up an overview presentation and
discussion on issues related to aquarium life collection practices. The scope of the presentation
and discussion will include the importance of conservation of marine life and the pros and cons
of various regulatory measures relating to aquarium fish collection.
Please place this matter on the February 17, 2015 Agriculture, Water and Energy Sustainability
Committee agenda.
