Enclosed is a resolution authorizing the payment of funds for more than one fiscal year,
for a new multi -year lease agreement. This agreement is for one desktop mailing system
with an integrated five pound scale, to be used by the Office of the Corporation Counsel.
Their current postage meter lease expires on May 13, 2015. They wish to replace it with
this desktop postage mailing system, which has significant advantages over the old unit.
The approximate cost per month will be $44.67.

A. REQUEST:
Request approval of a 60 -month lease for a desktop mailing system with integrated 5 -lb scale. The DM 125
system from Pitney Bowes is $44.67 /month and includes access to a local service technician.
B. BACKGROUND AND JUSTIFICATION (USE ADDITIONAL SHEETS AS NEEDED).
The current mailing system is a mymail Max leased from FP Mailing Solutions. The current 2 -year lease is
$21 /month and ends 5/13/15. Although cheaper, the current system is very difficult to use. When using the
scale, the meter's display is not visible. Refilling postage is an arduous task. There are no local service
technicians available.
