A RESOLUTION TRANSFERRING/APPROPRIATING AN APPROPRIATION OUT
AND FROM THE DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT AND CREDITING SAME TO A
DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT TO CONTINUE THE BUS ROUTE THAT SERVICES
THE UNIVERSITY OF HAWAII AT HILO AND HAWAII COMMUNITY COLLEGE.
WHEREAS, the Mass Transit Agency established a new bus route on August 22, 2014,
for Fridays and Saturdays with stops at the University of Hawaii at Hilo (UHH), Hawaii
Community College (HCC), Prince Kuhio Plaza, and Downtown Hilo; and
WHEREAS, Contingency Relief funds from Council District 3 will be appropriated to
the Mass Transit Agency for operating expenses in order to continue the bus route servicing the
students at UHH and HCC during the academic year; now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII that the
following amount is hereby transferred/appropriated as set forth below:

BE IT FINALLY RESOLVED that the County Clerk shall forward a copy of this
resolution to the Mass Transit Administrator and Director of Finance, and that the Director of
Finance is hereby authorized to make the necessary transfers in accordance with the terms of this
resolution.
