Your Committee on Finance, to which was referred Resolution No. 6515, reports as follows:
Resolution No. 65-15, transmitted by Finance Director Deanna S. Sako, via Communication No. 103
dated January 29, 2015, authorizes the payment of funds of a later fiscal year and of more than one
fiscal year for a multi-year lease agreement for one desktop mailing system for the Office of the
Corporation Counsel.
This resolution allows the County of Hawai`i to enter into a five (5) year lease agreement and for
sufficient funds to be budgeted in future fiscal years. The current lease expires on May 13, 2015, and
payments will be $44.67 per month.
There was no discussion on this measure.
Pursuant to Section 10-11, Hawaii County Charter, any contract, lease or other obligation
requiring the payment of funds from the appropriations of a later fiscal year or of more than one
fiscal year shall be made or approved by resolution.
Your Committee on Finance is in accord with the purpose and intent of Resolution No. 65-15, and
recommends its adoption.
