Re: Resolution for multi-year lease
The County of Hawaii owns land in the district of Hamakua, County and State of
Hawai'i, including those identified by Tax Map Keys: (3) 4-3-009-055, (3) 4-3-009-056,
(3) 4-3-009-057, and (3) 4-3-009-058. Resolution 38-11 authorized the lease of certain
County owned land, which includes these parcels, and required that the negotiated lease
agreement for this land be accepted by the County Council pursuant to Section 2-114(d)
of the Hawai'i County Code.
Enclosed is a resolution authorizing the Director of Finance to negotiate a ten year lease
agreement with Crown Pacific International, LLC for these properties. If there are any

PREPARE A COUNTY COUNCIL SUBMITTAL TO NEGOTIATE A LEASE AGREEMENT FOR HAMAKUA
LANDS IDENTIFIED AS TAX MAP KEYS (3) 4-3-009-055, 56, 57 & 58 WITH CROWN PACIFIC
INTERNATIONAL, LLC, PURSUANT TO SECTION 2-114 OF THE HAWAII COUNTY CODE.
B. BACKGROUND AND JUSTIFICATION (USE ADDITIONAL SHEETS AS NEEDED):
The County of Hawai'i owns lands in the District of Hamakua, County and State of Hawaii including those
identified by Tax Map Keys: (3) 4-3-009-055, 56, 57 & 58. Resolution 38-11 authorized the lease of certain
County of Hawai'i owned lands, which includes these parcels, and required that the negotiated lease
agreement for those lands be accepted by the County Council pursuant to Section 2-114(d) of the Hawai'i
County Code.
Attached is the negotiated agreement between Crown Pacific International LLC and the County of Hawai'i to
submit to the County Council pursuant to Resolution 38-11 so that it may be accepted in accordance with
Section 2-114(d) of the Hawai'i County Code.
