Dear Chairman Kanuha and Council Members:
It is my pleasure to nominate Mr. Donn K. dela Cruz of the South Hilo District to the
County of Hawaii Windward Planning Commission. Mr. dela Cruz is a lifelong resident
of Hawaii. He was employed by the IBEW Local Union 1186 as a Business
Representative.
Mr. dela Cruz is the Vice Chair of the Big Island Labor Alliance, and a volunteer with the
Salvation Army and the Big Island Food Basket. He states that he is a Democrat. If
confirmed, Mr. dela Cruz will serve a term to expire on December 31, 2019, replacing
Stephen Ono whose term expired on December 31, 2014.
