A RESOLUTION TRANSFERRING/APPROPRIATING AN APPROPRIATION OUT
AND FROM THE DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT AND CREDITING SAME TO A
DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT TO PURCHASE A COMMERCIAL STOVE FOR
THE KOHALA INTERGENERATIONAL BUILDING.
WHEREAS, the North Kohala senior program provides an array of services for the
seniors, which includes educational and recreational activities promoting health, dignity, and
self -enrichment; and
WHEREAS, the Kohala Intergenerational Building is located in the Kamehameha Park
Complex in Kapa`au and is used for elderly activities throughout the day and available for rental
on the weeknights and weekends; and
WHEREAS, the commercial stove in the Kohala Intergenerational Building was
removed prior to the County taking ownership of the building, and the Department of Parks and
Recreation would like to purchase a new commercial stove; and
WHEREAS, Contingency Relief funds from Council District 9 will be appropriated to
the Department of Parks and Recreation for the purchase of a new commercial stove; now,
therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII that the
following amount is hereby transferred/appropriated as set forth below:

BE IT FINALLY RESOLVED that the County Clerk shall transmit a copy of this
resolution to the Director of Parks and Recreation and the Director of Finance, and that the
Director of Finance is hereby authorized to make the necessary transfers in accordance with the
terms of this resolution.
