Dear Chairman Kanuha and Council Members:
It is my pleasure to nominate Ms. Rene Siracusa of Council District 5 to the County of
Hawaii Public Access, Open Space, and Natural Resources Preservation Commission.
Ms. Siracusa is a 42 -year resident of Hawaii. She is the president of Malama O Puna,
and the Puna Community Medical Center. She is the treasurer and fundraiser chair of
Kokua Pahoa, and a member of the Kaohe Homesteads Neighborhood Watch.
Ms. Siracusa states that she is a member of the Green Party. If confirmed, she will
serve a term to end on December 31, 2018.
