RE: Comm No. 136/ Bill No. 37, An ordinance amending Chapter 2,
Article 15, Section 2-91.1(c), Hawaii County Code 1983, relating to
financial disclosures and disclosure of interest.
In response to discussion at today's Finance Committee meeting, I am transmitting to you
a second draft of Bill No. 37 that incorporates an amendment approved by Your
Committee.
The amendment requires those filing disclosure reports to disclose stock ownership only
if the stock has a value of $5,000 or more or is equal to ten percent or more of the
ownership of the business. The original draft sought to amendment sought disclosure of
stock which has a value of $5,000 or more and is equal to ten percent or more of the
ownership of the business.
