Dear Chairman Kanuha and Council Members:
It is my pleasure to inform you that I have nominated the following individuals to the South Kohala
Community Development Plan (CDP) Action Committee:
o Diane M. Kanealii (4 -year term): Ms. Kanealii is a lifelong resident of Hawai'i. She is presently the
Executive Director of Kailapa Community Association. and secretary of Respect the Ocean.
Ms. Kanealii states that she is not affiliated with any political party.
o George H. Robertson (4 -year term): Mr. Robertson is a lifelong resident of Hawai'i. He previously
served on the South Kohala Community Development Plan Steering Committee. Mr. Robertson is
presently the Kona Field Representative for Senator Brian Schatz. He is the President of the West
Hawaii Mediation Center Board, and a board member of the Puako Community Association. He
states that he is a Democrat.
