A RESOLUTION TRANSFERRING/APPROPRIATING AN APPROPRIATION OUT
AND FROM THE DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT AND CREDITING SAME TO A
DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT TO EXPAND AND IMPROVE THE KAILUA
SKATEPARK.
WHEREAS, the Kailua Skatepark at the Old Airport Park provides our residents with a
venue for skating in a safe recreational environment; and
WHEREAS, the Department of Parks and Recreation is in need of funds to expand and
improve the Kailua Skatepark, with the assistance of volunteer groups in accordance with the
Kailua Park Master Plan; and
WHEREAS, Contingency Relief funds from Council District 8 will be appropriated to
the Department of Parks and Recreation to expand and improve the Kailua Skatepark; now,
therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII that the
following amount is hereby transferred/appropriated as set forth below:

010.101.5101.91 Clerk -Council SVC — Contingency Relief $25,000
CREDITED TO:
010.801.5801.33 Department of Parks and Recreation $25,000
Transfer to Cap Proj Fund
(Discretionary Projects -Council District 7,
110.588.5589.12 - Kailua Skatepark)
BE IT FINALLY RESOLVED that the County Clerk shall transmit a copy of this
resolution to the Director of Parks and Recreation and the Director of Finance, and that the
Director of Finance is hereby authorized to make the necessary transfers in accordance with the
terms of this resolution.
