A RESOLUTION TRANSFERRING/APPROPRIATING AN APPROPRIATION OUT
AND FROM THE DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT AND CREDITING SAME TO A
DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT FOR TRANSPORTATION EXPENSES FOR THE
NORTH KOHALA SENIOR PROGRAM.
WHEREAS, the North Kohala senior program provides an array of services, including
educational and recreational activities promoting health, dignity, and self -enrichment; and
WHEREAS, the Department of Parks and Recreation is seeking $2,000 to subsidize
three anticipated excursions for North Kohala seniors: (1) an excursion to Hilo on May 18,
2015, (2) an excursion to Kona on September 21, 2015, and (3) to attend the annual Christmas
party at the Mauna Lani Bay Hotel; and
WHEREAS, Contingency Relief funds from Council District 9 will be appropriated to
the Department of Parks and Recreation to cover transportation expenses for three excursions for
North Kohala seniors; now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII that the
following amount is hereby transferred/appropriated as set forth below:

BE IT FINALLY RESOLVED that the County Clerk shall transmit a copy of this
resolution to the Director of Parks and Recreation and the Director of Finance, and that the
Director of Finance is hereby authorized to make the necessary transfers in accordance with the
terms of this resolution.
