Your Committee on Finance, to which was referred Bill No. 27, reports as follows:
Bill No. 27, transmitted by Finance Director Deanna S. Sako, via Communication No. 136 dated
February 12, 2015, amends Ordinance No. 14-81, as amended, the Operating Budget for the County of
Hawaii for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2015.

This bill provides for additional funds to the Finance Departments Real Property Tax Division's
RPT Tax Sale Cost and Expense accounts, for a third real property tax foreclosure tax sale during
the current fiscal year.
There was no discussion on this measure.
Pursuant to Section 46-7, Hawaii Revised Statutes, County departments must obtain the consent of the
Council to enter into agreements with the Federal or State governments or any other public body or
bodies respecting action to be taken pursuant to any powers granted by law to furnish, expend, and
receive any funds or other assistance in connection with projects being or to be undertaken pursuant to
those powers.

Your Committee on Finance is in accord with the purpose and intent of Bill No. 27, and recommends
its passage on first reading.
