My message to the Committee: I Aloha Chair Wille and AWES Committee Members,
Mahalo for the opportunity!
Further regulation of the reef fish harvesting industry is greatly
needed. This bill is insufficient because there is not a reasonable
way to determine the level of deaths and inadequate resources to
prosecute the gatherers who have little concern for the fish or
Hawaii.
I support this bill as better than nothing.
