State I-11 _ My message to the Aloha Chair Wille and AWES Committee - Committee: Members, Mahalo for the opportunity! I support Bill 318 protecting Hawaii's reefwildlite from harmful aquarium trade starvation and insufficient water volume daring shipping. It is time to start putting our ocean and it's environment ahead of handful ofaquarium fish collectors. These fish that these collectors so cruelly remove from their habitat are a part of a very important ecosystem that is fragile already. Is the profiting of the destruction of this ecosystem worth it? I say absolutely nod! I believe there are approximately 30 existing permits for taking reef fish to sell for the aquarium trade_. my question is how do we know how many more people are doing this without permits? Our ocean is too fragile to withstand this kind of industry. mahalo for your time, Keomailani Von Gogh Comm. No. 0• o Ref. To;I Ref. Date, FES"I 0 t
