and AWES Committee Members,
Mahalo for the opportunity!
I support Bill 24 regulating business that capture and sell Hawaii's
reef wildlife to the mainland pet trade. The well-being of wildlite
should not be sacrificed for company profit.
.Just this photo alone is proof of the destruction and irresponsible
actions of the aquarium fish trade business. These inhumane
individuals have no respect for other life and are only concerned with
'.. their profits. These people should be fined for each individual fish
'.. that they killed through their cruel harvesting methods and
irresponsible actions. Only a heavy penalty will discourage them.
Also maybe a ban all the outlets from purchasing marine fish as well
as fines for airlines transporting them should also be implemented.
'f he marine fish are out in the sea for everyone enjoyment, notjust
for private individuals and other large markets.
