Subject: SUPPORT RESOLUTION 22-14
Aloha Hawaii County Representatives:
Please accept this communication in full support of requesting that Hawaii County appeal the judge Kurrens'
ruling on our County GMO ordinance (13-121).
This was a lot of work for all of us in Hawaii, including yourselves - and we need to protect what we have
worked had on!
As a farmer, and as someone who wants to protect the value and integrity of Hawaii agriculture, so that we can
both feed ourselves and also retain respect in our isolated paradise, it is essential that we do not give up at this
turning point. Instead we must preserve and work together to best protect our home...
Hawaii cannot handle GMO crops, and once they are "out", there is no other option in general (contamination
and pollination realities). This decision was not made based on our rights to look out for ourselves and preserve
I fawaii, but instead on a narrow legal mis-interpretation.
Please support the residents of this island and stand up for what we believe in - support the Resolution 22-14 to
appeal the ruling of judge Kurren.
