Ordinance 13-121
Dear Council member,
I urge you to OPPOSE Resolution 22-14 and any motion to APPEAL U.S. Magistrate Judge Barry Kurren's decision to
invalidate Hawai'i County Ordinance 13-121.
U.S. Magistrate Judge Barry Kurren invalidated Ordinance 13-121 We should move on to address issues of food
resilience in Hawaii county. The real danger is the imminent decline of shale oil and gas. We must focus our attention
here. The cost issue is what makes it so difficult for new farmers to farm. That is why farmers are getting older and
older. I had to lay off 35 workers. I know what I'm talking about.
I ask you to please OPPOSE any motion to APPEAL the ruling to invalidate Ordinance 13-121. This bill is wasting valuable
time and money.
