Aloha Councilmembers!
I urge you to support this reso to protect Hawaii Island from interference by outside companies — and this one is
especially bad, since there is so much money behind it. This resp supports our appeal of Judge Kurren's ruling which
overturned Ordinance 13-121. The appeal is critical in getting this case heard by a higher court.
Besides protecting Hawaii Island from any new propagation of genetically engineered seed or open airtesting, this
appeal may protect our County's ability to speak for ourselves. And this appeal is critical in getting this case heard by a
higher court, which will ultimately be very important.
This could easily be the most important action you will take during the first few days of your new term. '
