Council members,
As elected representative of the people of Hawaii County it is your responsibility to defend the voice of the people who
voted for this GMO law. While there are voices of opposition the majority rules in a democracy even if it angers and
frustrates corporations. I urge you to join Earthjustice in the legal battle to protect the rights of organic farmers and
families to be adequately informed by independent scientists on the effects of GMO products and practices.
We can win this legal battle without excessive costs so do not look for excuses but instead fight for your constituents.
I am a teacher and farmer who votes and supports progressive people as leaders.
