Dear Council Members,
1 support Reso 22-14 to appeal judge Kurren's ruling over our GMO Ordina*mce�1-
1 21 . The democratically expressed will of the people must be upheld. We cannot
allow corporate interests to negate the laws that Hawaii County passes. This makes a
mockery of our system. Corporations ignoring the will of the people is arrogant.
Influencing citizens to overturn the will of the people is called corruption. The
"science" papers that corporations send out to politicians are written by well-paid
public relations writers who work for those corporations, and rarely stand up in peer
evaluated scientific communities.
Please recognize this manipulation by those powerful outside interests and stand up for
the citizens who voted for you. We should be able to expect a fair and open
democracy from you through your powers as a legislative arm of our government.
