Aloha County Council Members, o
Thank you for your time and thoughtful consideration. I live on Ag. Land in Sout Kona,'
and I, like my neighbors and friends are very concerned about the problems inherent jn:
GMO farming. We rallied to let our voices be heard as a community, as a county as an
Island. You supported our requests for a ban on future GMO crops. Our Mayor, Mr. Kenoi
also supported our concerns when he signed the bills into law.
Now, our needs as a community, as a county, as an Island are being challenged by the
latest ruling against us. Please continue to support this special and unique land that we
call our home. We, as farmers, as families, as business people have reviewed all of the
information relating to GMO farming and our love and respect for the Aina continues to
guide us in requesting that you appeal that decision.
Please do not let "politics" interfere with the clearly stated needs of this community.
Thank you for your continued support of a ban on GMO crops for Hawaii Island.
