I fully support the hiring of attorneys from Earth Justice and Center for Food Security to represent the County of Hawaii in the defense
in the appeal of the lower court's decision that invalidated the County of Hawaii's GMO restriction ordinance (Bill 113)
of our GMO crop Ordinance 13 -121.
This lawsuit is very important as it will determine the future of the County of Hawaii's ability to pass any legislation that affects all
aspect of agriculture, and will set a precedent to undermine all County authority over most matters relating to the wellbeing of our
islands
I ask that you vote YES to the hiring of this team of special attorneys to protect the rights of the people of this island and of
those who represent us.
