Subject: Support of Comm 9.1
Aloha Council Members,
Maholo for voting to appeal Judge Barry Kurren's ruling against ordinance 13 -121.
Now, it has come to the attention of We The People that you have been offered free legal
assistance in this matter from Earthjustice. Please save taxpayer money and accept this offer
of legal assistance. Moreover, the huge importance of the outcome of this matter demands
that We The People of the County of Hawaii defend our right to local autonomy and authority.
If this matter is not resolved in our favor then you might as well let Honolulu or Washington
bureaucrats make all our future decisions for us and simply retire. The precedent that will be
set if Judge Kurren's ruling is not overturned smacks The Constitution in the face and further
steals the protections given to We The People when this great country was formed.
This is not about GMO's, this issue is about the rights of We The People to make our local
decisions in the place we call home without being subjugated the tyranny of non -local forces.
