Vote Yes on Communication 9.1
Dear Council Members,
Please pass Communication 9.1 to hire special counsel (Paul Achitoff - Earth justice and
George Kimbrell - Center for Food Safety) to represent the County of Hawaii in the appeal of
the lower court's decision that invalidated the County of Hawaii's GMO restriction ordinance
(Bill 113).
This is very important to our Home Rule. Since there will be no charge
for legal work and Earth Justice and The Center for Food Safety have extensive litigation
experience, this is a no brainer.
Please vote yes.
