Council meeting Feb.4, at Hilo
I am writing this to present my uttermost feelings of disagreement with cultivating GMO crop farming and research on
the island of Kauai. For any intelligent person who has done some research into how these genetically modified crops
affect our soil, the air we breathe, our water, the bees, our health when we ingest them, it is obvious that these
products and the research involved is down the wrong path to the healthy survival of the planet and of humankind.
I firmly believe that the county of Kauai has the right to stand up for itself and manifest its disagreement and opinion in
this matter and preserve its right for home rule at the county level.
Furthermore, I believe that'Earth Justice' and the 'Center for food safety' are rightfully justified to be representing the
county of Kauai at the meeting in Hilo on Feb. 4 in defense of the GMO crop ordinance 13-121.
