Res. 84-15: URGES THE MAYOR TO ENTER INTO MULTI-YEAR CONTRACTS TO
ESTABLISH REGIONAL AND COMMUNITY-BASED ORGANIC COMPOST
OPERATIONS IN THE COUNTY OFHAWAI‘I
Suggested contracts would be for ten years (which may include a two-year transition
period during which the contractor(s) is not obligated to maximize the production of
compost) with the option of two five-year extensions.
