` ` What an interesting county session! Thanks for all of your support. I have
- written a letter to the reps. that will probably vote for Yegong's proposal. Far
the Big Island AIDS Project, it will be a cut from the proposed amount of
$10,000 to $7640. As ow client load continues to grow ow funding sources are
shrinking. Big Island AIDS Project, realizing the catnty was struggling with
funding, did not ask for a great deal of mdney. We will lose minimally ten
Board of Directors hows of case management time a week with federal, state and county cpts. The , -
egency has been serving en average of 78 clients a month with 2.25 FTE case
Chuck Lopez managers. Our caseload per case manager is higher than all the neighbor
Presiricrrt islands. • Big Island AIDS Project does not have an administrative bweaucracy.

want HIV/AIDS prevention education. ,

Treasurer Our clients cannot user the HEOCC vans -although they are disabled. The fvst
priority is elderly and that it is only at HEOCC's convenience. We must er[artge
Newton Chu and pay for ow client's transportation to hospital, dental and medical
appointments. We do this at an approximate cost of $300.00 a month.

applications to assess what agencies asked for in their funding requests is a
