Honorable Chair & Council Members;
As a behavioral health program for QUEST adults with a serious mental
illness which is often combined with a substance abuse illness, we support
the Rose House philosophy which is to provide a house that is clean and
sober for women desiring to recover from substance abuse. There is a need
for additional clean and sober housing in our community, which provides
adjunctive support to the treatment and enhances the overall recovery.
Therefore, I would like to support the request made by Rose House for
County funding as anon-profit grant for the fiscal year 1999-2000
