RESOLUTION NO. 133 15
A RESOLUTION TRANSFERRING/APPROPRIATING AN APPROPRIATION OUT
AND FROM THE DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT AND CREDITING SAME TO A
DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT TO PROVIDE A GRANT TO WEST HAWAII
COMMUNITY HEALTH CENTER, INC., TO PURCHASE MEDICAL EQUIPMENT,
SUPPLIES, AND FURNISHINGS FOR THE NEW KEALAKEHE CENTER.
WHEREAS, West Hawaii Community Health Center, Inc., (`WHCHC") is a 501(c)(3)
nonprofit organization, that provides comprehensive medical services which are geographically
and financially accessible to residents of West Hawaii; and
WHEREAS, WHCHC is in need of funds to purchase medical equipment, supplies, and
furnishings for its new comprehensive and integrated health services facility at the Kealakehe
Center; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 2-139(a)(2) of the Hawaii County Code, Contingency
Relief funds shall be transferred to an accepting County department/agency via resolution
identifying the nonprofit organization and the specific program, project, event, activity, service,
equipment, materials, or supplies for which the grant shall be used; and
WHEREAS, Contingency Relief funds from Council District 6 will be appropriated to
the Department of Research and Development to provide a grant to WHCHC to purchase
medical equipment, supplies, and furnishings for the new Kealakehe Center; now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII that the
following amount is hereby transferred/appropriated as set forth below:

BE IT FINALLY RESOLVED that the County Clerk shall forward a copy of this
resolution to the Director of Research and Development and the Director of Finance, and that the
Director of Finance is hereby authorized to make the necessary transfers in accordance with the
terms of this resolution.
