Bishaw, Il. Mr. Bishaw is a lifelong resident of Hawai'i. He is a Geological/Botanical Research Specialist at the Hawai'i Cooperative Studies Unit of the University of Hawai'i at Hilo. Mr. Bishaw is presently a board member and Vice President of the Big Island Substance Abuse Center. He states that he is not affiliated with any political party. If confirmed, he will serve a term to end on December 31, 2019, replacing Wilma Matsumura whose term expired on December 31, 2014. Council District 7 — Cynthia S. Nazara. Ms. Nazara is a lifelong resident of Hawai'i. She worked for Cultural Survey Hawai'i as a Cultural Monitor, and The Four Seasons Hualalai Resort as their Cultural Manager. Ms. Nazara is currently the President of the Kona Hawaiian Civic Club, and a member of the Kukio Kaupulehu Advisory Board, and a member of Ka Ulu Lauhala. She states that she is not affiliated with any political party. If confirmed, Ms. Nazara will serve a term to end on December 31, 2019, replacing Enock Freire whose term expired on December 31, 2014. Council District 8 — Kekaulike P. Tomich. Mr. Tomich is a lifelong resident of Hawai'i. He is a Restoration Technician at the Hawai'i Forest Industry Association. Mr. Tomich is a member of the Kaupulehu Marine Life Advisory Committee, and the Hawaii Alliance for Proqqressive Action. If confirmed, Mr. Tomich will serve the remainder of a term to end on December 31, 2015, and be eligible for reappointment to an additional full term as authorized by Hawaii County Charter Section 13-4(c), that states "members of any board or commission appointed for a term of two years or less shall be eligible to succeed themselves for an additional full term and be eligible to be reappointed."
