Good Afternoon County Council Members.
My name is Bob Hajek and I am President
of the BIAAF. I am here today to testify in
opposition to Bill 24.
Bill 24 serves no purpose other than it
being yet another attempt at squeezing
the local aquarium fishery to a point
where it becomes not cost effective to
operate.
The State of Hawaii has a very effective
fishery management system already in
place, making the proposal of Bill 24
redundant at best. We are already
required to have an extra license to
operate in West Hawaii. Do you really
think we need a third one?
