As we move into the future, we will certainly be needing organic inputs to improve our young soils, and increase the
amount of locally grown food on Hawai'i Island. Compost is the perfect mediator for excess carbon, climate change, and
building healthy soils. We urge Mayor Kenoi to enter into contracts with those who can best help us create a usable and
salable product for the County.
