RESOLUTION NO. 1G4 15
A RESOLUTION TRANSFERRING/APPROPRIATING AN APPROPRIATION OUT
AND FROM THE DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT AND CREDITING SAME TO A
DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT TO PROVIDE A GRANT TO CHILD & FAMILY
SERVICE TO PROVIDE BUS COUPONS TO ASSIST WITH TRANSPORTATION.
WHEREAS, Child & Family Service's program assists certain clients to reduce child
abuse by helping these clients attend Women's Support Group, Women's Alternative to
Violence meetings, Family Strengthening Services, court appearances and counseling; and
WHEREAS, Child & Family Service is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that strives to
assist those who are unable to otherwise attend and participate in much needed parenting classes,
receive counseling and therapy by providing transportation through bus coupons; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 2-139(a)(2)(A) of the Hawaii County Code,
Contingency Relief funds shall be transferred to an accepting County department/agency via
resolution identifying the nonprofit organization and the specific program, project, event,
activity, service, equipment, materials, or supplies for which the grant shall be used; and
WHEREAS, Contingency Relief funds from Council District 6 will be appropriated to
the Office of the Prosecuting Attorney to provide a grant to Child & Family Service to provide
bus coupons to assist with transportation for certain clients to attend parenting classes,
counseling, and therapy; now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII that the
following amount is hereby transferred/appropriated as set forth below:

BE IT FINALLY RESOLVED that the County Clerk shall transmit a copy of this
resolution to the Prosecuting Attorney and the Director of Finance, and that the Director of
Finance is hereby authorized to make the necessary transfers in accordance with the terms of this
resolution.
