I am strongly in support of Bills 32 and 33 and their related resolutions, 84-15 and 87-15.
It's liine to walk the walk notjust talk the talk. Frankly, we haven't heard much talk in the last few years, either. Wc'vc ignored our waste
ntanagenrent plan and zero waste plans and goals.
%k e have to take action. Make changes. We need legislation to do this. We need leadership to do this. We have a plan, let's Implcincnt it.
The entire waste stream nmst be managed.
u'c definitely need all the compost we can make. It's worth money, besides being good for the'aina.
We need to make it easier to compost. Easier to recycle. Easier to reduce waste.
We need to encourage recycling by charging those whojust dump everything in one waste stream, the one that ruins our ground and air.

theca Show the people expect it and the Council expects it. Council, you must urge it. They have no light and cannot see the path shown in
the solid waste management plan and zero waste iniatives. Shine a light on the path for them by passing the resolutions.
Implement these work -Grounds to curbside recycling, which will move us towards our goals in a Hawaiian way, that knows we are
not the Mainland, but are proud to be Ilawaii and proud to take care of it.
