Testimony in Opposition to bill 24
Dear Committee Members.
I am opposed to Bill 24. It is just another attempt by anti -fishing groups to shut down the
aquarium industry by putting financial hardships with ridiculous permit fees on the
fishermen. The aquarium fisbery is already managed by the State of Hawaii DLNR. and
this extra burden is not necessary.
This is just another attempt by activists from the mainland to make it so hard to run a
small business, that they hope by creating such hardships that the businesses will quit.
This billwould put many local people out of work if passed. Do not pass this bill.
