My message to the
Aloha Chair Wille
Committee:
and Committee Members,
I support Bill 318 protecting Hawaii's reef wildlife from harmful
aquarium trade starvation and insufficient water volume during
shipping.
As someone who has been around and pan of recreational aquariums
for
several years. I feel it is imperative that any wildlife harvested
from the ocean be more stringently regulated. It should be
sustainable, just like fishing practices should be. It should be
humane. A larger focus should be placed on creatures that can be bred
in captivity in order to sustain the ecosystem.
Thank you for considering my opinion. Please pass Bill 318 protecting
Hawaii's reef creatures.
Sincerely,
Pamela Small
Mahalo for the opportunity!
