HomeMy WebLinkAboutCOM 0140.128 2014-2016Aloha Council members! v,
My name is David Kapuna Brown. I am born and raised here in Hawaii and a graduate of
Kamehameha Schools. I have been a tropical fish collector for the last 20 years. It is my living and 1
support my family with it.
There are a lot more local born families that make this their living but for the most part you will never
hear of them as they are shy and reserved and the very thought of giving a public testimony would
probably give them a heart attack.
Bill 318 is basically another way to shut down the aquarium fish trade plain and simple. These
activist and such will say anything and everything to further their agenda. It is a shame....
This is a very, very, very sustainable way to make a living..... in fact these last two years have been
the best that I have ever seen it with the amounts of fish that have "dropped" on the reefs.
It is very easy to fool/persuade and convince an uneducated individual. I wish any one of you
would take the time to learn about what I do before you make a decision.
So in end I am in opposition of Bill 318.
