SUBJECT: Appropriation Ordinance for the
Economic Development Initiative (EDI)
Infrastructure Development in Puna
The Office of Housing and Community Development (OHCD)
submitted to the Hawaii County Housing Agency (HCHA) an
Appropriation Ordinance for the 1999 Economic Development
Initiative (EDI) Special Projects program for infrastructure
development in Puna to the U. S. Department of Housing and
Community Development.
The HCHA reviewed and approved the ordinance at its meeting of
February 16, 1999. Accordingly, I am requesting that this
ordinance be included on the Council agenda for action at its
March 4, 1999, meeting.
