I am writing to express my conc;rns abou~ ~r~~ construction on Mamalahoa Hwy in
Waimea. The construction is really impact i;~g ,~rea businesses. Generally I feel that
the contractor has bent over b~:cl<~ti~ard to ~~~c;?: kith the community.
We realize that the cost cf relocat.ing the ,,-„r line when added to other change
orders creates quite a big number.
For budgeting purposes it ~ou1~J have be~,= ;~<<ter to have known about the water
line when the original bid was Jet our. In ~ ~ ~ ~~s of cost to the county there Would
have been little difference.
Please approve and do not defer action o,. ~~a, change order requests that relate to
the project. _ _
