I am currently President of the Board of Family Support Servlr:c2 of WI and have been a practicing pediatrician for 30 years, the last 20 years in Kat « P.5 Board President I have had a chance 10 see first hand the value of the f nidin;_: s :! -saw by the County to non - profits. I am aware that the County is not required by its c to provide health and human services to its citizens. However, through careful!: « r,4eted funds the County can make a tremendous amount of difference to citizens of 7 , -- T ii island with a relatively small amount of public dollars. I understand that the ,-„ t proposal is to clarify language in the event of a decrease in property tax collection.:‘. ''upport the intent to clarify, however I am also aware that when the property tax issue the, table amendments may be attached which could result in elimination of for non -profit agencies. I was very impressed by the commitment to fisc ° ; .ponsibility, intelligent questions, and attention to detail exemplified by the County louncil members who visited Family Support Services in order to review our re,qua r riding. this past week.
