Removal of Parking Meter Heads
Mr. Yagong;
I am writing this letter as President of the Hilo Downtown Improvement
Association (HDIA). I am sorry that another scheduled meeting will prevent
me from attending your meeting of the Committee on Public Works and Parks
that is to be held tomorrow morning, May 26, 1999. At this time, I do wish
to confirm to you that the Hilo Downtown Improvement Association stands
fully in support of Resolution No.53-99, which calls for the removal of
all parking meter heads within the area of Downtown Hilo affected by the
moratorium previously extended in July 1998 by Resolution No.288-98.

supporting Downtown Hilo.
