We are greatly concerned that any decrease in the current allocated funds may have an enormous impact in the effectiveness of law enforcement in East Hawaii and may leave many communities vulnerable and in jeopardy. We wish to live in a safe community and that can only be accomplished if funds for public safety is not cut. We strongly urge you to approve full funding for the Hawaii County Police Department and Prosecuting Attorney's Office. Sincerely, J ~ ~y L Jan YokSyama, Coordinator Kaumana Cave Neighborhood Watch c: Wayne G. Carvalho, Chief, Hawaii County Police Dept.
