I would like to request a $46,363 increase in several Elections accounts to:
(1) Purchase a new van to replace the 1989 Ford van that has logged about 100,000 miles. The van
is presently unreliable and is being used largely in Hilo.
(2) Increase current funding for a temporary election employee to update address range file in
preparation for reapportionment.
(3) Upgrade 10 computers with Windows software to allow interface with statewide voter
registration system, which was installed for the 1998 election.
