DeputilALmo.gm, Director
Thank you for your letter supporting the Hawaii County Band
program. I am pleased to hear that you enjoy the performances.
The Operating Budget I submitted on March 1, 1999, to the
County Council includes funding to maintain the County Band
programs in both East and West Hawaii. The budget and funding
plan I have proposed makes every effort to maintain our current
level of County services.
I will refer your letter to the County Council which is in the
process of reviewing my budget proposal and making decisions on
the retention of the County Band and other programs.
Again, thank you for your support of our County Band programs.
Sincerely,
St phen K. Yamashiro
