RESOLUTION NO. 169 15
A RESOLUTION TRANSFERRING/APPROPRIATING AN APPROPRIATION OUT
AND FROM THE DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT AND CREDITING SAME TO A
DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT TO PROVIDE FUNDS TO PURCHASE UV
BLOCKING WINDOW COVERINGS FOR RICHARDSON OCEAN PARK.
WHEREAS, the Department of Parks and Recreation has requested funds to purchase
UV blocking window coverings for Richardson Ocean Center which is located at Richardson
Ocean Park; and
WHEREAS, Richardson Ocean Center is a visitor center, cultural and arts facility, and
information center; and
WHEREAS, the window coverings are necessary to replace worn and damaged window
coverings at the facility; and
WHEREAS, the window coverings will reduce glare and block harmful UV rays while
protecting its exhibits and maintaining a good view of the outside; and
WHEREAS, Contingency Relief funds from Council District 1 will be appropriated to
the Department of Parks and Recreation for the purchase of UV blocking window coverings;
now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII that the
following amount is hereby transferred/appropriated as set forth below:

BE IT FINALLY RESOLVED that the County Clerk shall transmit a copy of this
resolution to the Director of Parks and Recreation and the Director of Finance, and that the
Director of Finance is hereby authorized to make the necessary transfers in accordance with the
terms of this resolution.
