RESOLUTION NO.
STATE OF HAWAIII
A RESOLUTION TRANSFERRING/APPROPRIATING AN APPROPRIATION OUT
AND FROM THE DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT AND CREDITING SAME TO A
DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT TO PROVIDE A GRANT TO THE PAHOA
SCHOOLS SUPPORT FOUNDATION FOR THE 2015 PAHOA HIGH SCHOOL
PROJECT GRAD NIGHT.
WHEREAS, the Pahoa Schools Support Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit
organization that actively promotes youth education programs with community outreach and
engagement; and
WHEREAS, the Pahoa Schools Support Foundation will assist Pahoa High School with
their Project Grad Night Program; and
WHEREAS, the 2015 Pahoa High School Project Grad Night will engage students and
provide all graduates with a safe and enjoyable celebration; and
WHEREAS, the Department of Liquor Control aims to support youth programs that
promote alcohol- and drug-free events, including Project Grad Night activities; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 2-139(a)(2)(A) of the Hawaii County Code,
Contingency Relief funds shall be transferred to an accepting County department/agency via
resolution identifying the nonprofit organization and the specific program, project, event,
activity, service, equipment, materials, or supplies for which the grant shall be used; and
WHEREAS, Contingency Relief funds from Council District 5 will be appropriated to the
Department of Liquor Control to provide a grant to the Pahoa Schools Support Foundation to
assist with expenses related to the 2015 Pahoa High School Project Grad Night; now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII that the
following amount is hereby transferred/appropriated as set forth below:

010.101.5101.91 Clerk -Council SVC - Contingency Relief $3,000
CREDITED TO:
010.251.5251.39 Department of Liquor Control $3,000

BE IT FINALLY RESOLVED that the County Clerk shall forward a copy of this
resolution to the Director of Liquor Control and the Director of Finance, and that the Director of
Finance is hereby authorized to make the necessary transfers in accordance with the terms of this
resolution.
