Miura Deputy Director o� %M %0 :;a )::K N The State Department of Health, Alcohol and Drug Abuse Division, is providing an additional $12,000 to the Hawaii County Police Department's Department of Health — Tobacco Sting program. The grant funds will be used to support the Hawaii County Police Department's efforts to prevent the sale of tobacco to minors. In the current fiscal year's budget, $12,000 is appropriated for this grant. Enclosed is a bill for an ordinance amending the Operating Budget by appropriating the additional funds into the Police Department's Department of Health — Tobacco Sting program account, and bringing the total grant appropriation to $24,000. The Police Department is requesting that this bill be waived from the Finance Committee review, and be placed on the May 19, 2015 Council Agenda in order to complete this transaction during the current fiscal year.
