SUBJECT: Resolution No. 189-15
1 apologize for not being present today to discuss the contents of Resolution No. 189-15
The reason for this transfer is because last term, we transferred $25,700.00 out of the
HSACINACO account to increase council member's district allowance expense account.
This current lean, the Council appointed additional Council Members to the Western
Interstate Region (WIR) Board of Directors (Board).
The 2015-2016 fiscal year, Mr. Kanuha was nominated to represent Hawai'i County to
the WIR Board and participated in the Presidential WIR Conference in Malta, Montana.
Mr. Paleka was nominated to represent Hawai'i County to the WIR Board on March 4,
2015, replacing Mr. Kanuha and will be attending the 2015 National Association of
Counties' WIR Conference on Kauai.
Due to these unanticipated expenses, the HSAC/NACO account will be depleted if the
transferring of funds from our Clerk -Council SVC OCE, Mise. Charges account to the
HSAC/NACO account are not approved. I am humbly requesting your support in
approving this transfer and appropriation.
